What We Do?
We create possibilities for the Pravasi Bharatiya community to stay connected to our roots. We aim to create an environment where curiosity is nurtured and creativity is encouraged. We create a space where we can be reminded of the beauty of India – not just the serenity of its variety of landscapes and lushness of its countryside, but also the richness of the language, literature, and music that enriches the soul.
While we remember and rejoice in its beauty, we give back what we can to the land that continues to nourish us even though it is seas and oceans away
Aksharam Mission areas of operation:
Provide a platform for structured Malayalam Classes
Provide positive life changing support to unprivileged, under privileged, gifted children in achieving their dreams through enabling education
Build a world class Malayalam library
Provide a world class platform for publishing and promoting printed, audio and ual media creations ‘for kids’ and ‘by kids’

Mission
- General Charity Activities and Educational Support
- Support (Financial aid and other helps like coaching/mentoring/training) people in need, especially kids, for education, or other needs as necessary.
- Provide a platform and needed technical infrastructure to teach Indian language(s), especially Malayalam.
- Help in publishing articles/art forms/literary entries by kids and/or for kids (mainly in Indian languages)
- Conduct/sponsor events/shows/fairs to promote and educate Indian Language(s), especially Malayalam and culture associated with the language(s)
- Engage in other activities related to literary/social/cultural promotion of Indian language(s)
